Working Group for Medical and Biological Cybernetics
utilization of simulation methods in visualizing, analysis and control of dynamic systems in the human body
Head: doc. MUDr. Jiří Kofránek, CSc. (Institute of Pathological Physiology, First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University)
Activities of the group are oriented towards utilization of simulation methods in visualizing, analysis and control of dynamic systems in the human body and the possibility of communication of the obtained results through multimedia and Internet.
Main topics of interest are:
- control systems of the human body (body-fluid homeostasis, endocrine regulations, locomotion subsystems, blood circulation)
- functional properties of the nervous system, neural computing.
The group is oriented to:
- basic scientific research
- clinical usability
- medical training (training simulators, multimedia training)
